Huge shout out to Johnson Elementary School VT teachers Mr. I, Miss Summer, and Mr. Silver for their tremendous efforts creating a magnificent garden space and perennial circle across from the playground. As always, when there’s a call for support, BJ Putvain, Village Trustee Vice Chair and Prez of Green Mountain Mobile Blasting & Powder Coating LLC delivers. His truck was busy hauling flowers, compost, and mulch to assist this creative student initiative. Stopped at Two Sons Bakehouse Vermont in Johnson to grab a hot Jenna’s Coffee and delicious coffee roll and (unexpectedly 🤣) a fabulous piece of art before heading over to join the planting party!!! Not a diva in sight as the rain fell, sleeves were rolled up, garden boxes were filled with soil and plants, and smiles were wide. Many thanks to Deb and Gabrielle, and all those who participated and donated. It was an honor to work with young Karter, clearly he has the gift of planting in his heart. Evie was a master with her trowel. Such a great group working hard on a dreary Saturday to bring fresh veggies and flower power to the JES campus. Can’t wait to see their efforts flourish over the summer!!! Awesome to have a small part in this meaningful project 🥳🥳🥳
