At Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting and Powder Coating, we’re always looking for ways to improve our fleet so we can provide the best mobile sandblasting services in Vermont and beyond. Our newest addition is a 1998 Ford F-800 with a 5.9 Cummins 12V engine — a tough, reliable truck that’s about to undergo a full transformation.
Building Power and Reliability
Right now, this F-800 isn’t much to look at, but that will change quickly. Over the next few months, our mechanics will be bringing the truck fully up to speed. We’re upgrading it with a bigger turbocharger, boosting horsepower from 190 HP to nearly 400 HP. This means more power, more reliability, and better performance when hauling our mobile blasting equipment to job sites across Vermont.
We’ll also be upgrading the air conditioning system to keep our crew comfortable while they’re on the road and tackling long blasting projects in the summer heat. A few other odds and ends will be handled as well to make sure this truck is mechanically sound and ready to work.
Next Year: A Bold New Look
Once the truck is mechanically ready, we’ll move on to the fun part — the cosmetic transformation. Our plan is a matte black finish with large, bold graphics that match our current sandblasting trailer and company branding. This way, the F-800 won’t just be reliable, it will also stand out as part of our professional fleet.
