While we take great care in our process, it’s important to understand the nature of sandblasting wood and the possible outcomes.

1. Surface Sensitivity & Variability

Wood is a natural, porous, and inconsistent material, and its reaction to sandblasting can vary depending on: • Wood type and age • Grain density and softness • Previous coatings (paint, stain, sealers, etc.) • Weathering or moisture content. While sandblasting is an effective method for removing surface layers, uneven texture, gouging, or raised grain may occur, especially on softer or weathered wood.

2. Surface Finish After Sandblasting

Sandblasting will remove most paints, stains, and finishes, but deep stains or old finishes may leave behind shadows or discoloration. The surface may also appear rougher than expected depending on the condition of the wood and media used. If you require a smoother finish, light sanding may be necessary after sandblasting, and is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise arranged in the job scope.

3. Nails, Screws & Fasteners

Sandblasting may expose or highlight existing nails, screws, or fasteners, and can cause minor damage to these areas. If there are fasteners you’d like protected or removed beforehand, please let us know in advance.

4. Media & Cleanup

We use environmentally safe sandblasting media. For exterior wood projects (e.g., decks or siding), media is generally left on-site and can safely settle into the soil or lawn. Cleanup is not included by default. If media cleanup is desired, it must be requested in advance and will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

5. Limitations & Liability

While we take care to use the appropriate pressure, nozzle, and technique for each wood surface, we are not responsible for any damage, splintering, or uneven results that may occur due to the condition or characteristics of the wood. All services are provided “as-is,” and results may vary depending on substrate quality and conditions. We offer no warranties, express or implied, beyond the scope of the agreed work.

Sandblasting is an effective method for removing paint, stain, graffiti, and other surface contaminants. However, due to the nature of masonry materials, the following disclaimers and responsibilities must be acknowledged by the customer.

1. Surface Sensitivity & Material Variability

Brick and concrete are porous, inconsistent, and reactive materials. Their appearance after sandblasting will vary depending on: • Age and condition of the surface • Type of brick or concrete mix • Mortar condition • Prior coatings or treatments • Moisture content and weather exposure. Sandblasting may reveal discoloration, uneven tones, or surface imperfections that were previously covered by paint or coatings.

2. Surface Damage & Texture Changes

While we use appropriate techniques for masonry, sandblasting may cause: • Pitting, chipping, or erosion—especially on old or soft brick • Mortar joint degradation, especially if joints are already cracked or crumbling • Etching or roughening of concrete surfaces, which can vary in depth depending on hardness. We are not responsible for any damage to fragile or deteriorating materials, or for the exposure of previously hidden flaws.

3. Coating & Stain Removal

We strive for the most complete removal possible, but please note: • Some deep-set stains or paints may leave residual shadows or tinting • Concrete and masonry may absorb contaminants that cannot be fully removed by sandblasting • A uniform appearance is not guaranteed, especially across patched or previously treated surfaces.

4. Cleanup & Media

We use eco-friendly sandblasting media suitable for use around most residential and commercial sites. Media cleanup is not included by default and must be requested in advance to be added to your project scope at the standard hourly rate.

5. Limitations & Liability

Sandblasting is a powerful and aggressive cleaning method. By proceeding with this service, the customer acknowledges and accepts that: • Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting & Powder Coating is not liable for damage to brick, mortar, or concrete surfaces due to the sandblasting process • Pre-existing conditions (cracks, crumbling mortar, stains, or repairs) may be worsened or revealed during blasting • Any required repairs after sandblasting are the responsibility of the property owner. All services are provided “as-is,” and results may vary depending on substrate quality and conditions. We offer no warranties, express or implied, beyond the scope of the agreed work.

We provide high-quality dry sandblasting services for various metal surfaces, including automotive, industrial, and residential projects. While dry sandblasting is an effective method for cleaning and preparing metal for further treatment, it is important to understand the potential risks and limitations associated with this process.

1. Surface Sensitivity & Pre-Existing Conditions

Dry sandblasting is an aggressive method for cleaning metal surfaces and may reveal underlying defects that were previously hidden by coatings or rust. These can include: • Rust, corrosion, or pitting • Weld marks, cracks, or prior repairs • Factory body filler or Bondo. Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting & Powder Coating LLC is not responsible for any defects or damage to the metal that is revealed during the sandblasting process, as these conditions may have existed prior to sandblasting.

2. Surface Finish & Texture

Dry sandblasting may roughen or alter the texture of the metal surface. The level of roughness will depend on: • The type of metal • The pressure used • The sandblasting media selected. In some cases, sandblasting can create a matte, grainy, or etched finish that may not be suitable for all applications without additional smoothing or finishing. It is important to consider this effect before proceeding with the process.

3. Heat Sensitivity & Distortion

In some cases, the dry sandblasting process may generate heat on the surface of the metal, especially for thinner materials. This heat may cause warping or distortion, particularly with softer metals or thin sheets. Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting & Powder Coating LLC is not liable for any warping, distortion, or structural changes caused by the sandblasting process.

4. Media Cleanup

Our sandblasting media is environmentally safe and will be left on the worksite unless otherwise requested. Media cleanup is not included in our standard service. If you require media cleanup, it must be specified in advance and will be charged at the hourly rate.

5. Coating & Protection After Sandblasting

After sandblasting, metal surfaces are vulnerable to rust if left uncoated or untreated. The sandblasted metal should be: • Coated or painted as soon as possible to prevent oxidation • If you do not intend to coat or paint the metal immediately, it is your responsibility to ensure that the surface is protected. We recommend applying a primer or protective coating within 24 hours of sandblasting to prevent rust formation. Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting & Powder Coating LLC is not responsible for rust or corrosion that develops after the sandblasting process.

6. Customer Responsibility & Liability

By proceeding with this service, the customer acknowledges and accepts: • We are not responsible for any damage to the metal, including structural failure, warping, or pitting that occurs due to pre-existing conditions or the sandblasting process. • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the sandblasted surfaces are adequately coated or treated to prevent further corrosion or damage. All services are provided “as-is,” and results may vary depending on substrate quality and conditions. We offer no warranties, express or implied, beyond the scope of the agreed work.
