Our Equipment & Growth
At Green Mountain Sandblasting & Powder Coating LLC, our journey has always been built on hard work, determination, and reinvesting back into our business. Based in Johnson, Vermont, we operate both a full-service powder coating shop and a professional mobile sandblasting division serving customers throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York.
Our story began in 2018 with little more than determination and a $200 powder coating oven. By 2019, we had upgraded to a professional 4′ x 4′ x 6′ powder coating oven, a KF-X1 powder coating system, and small sandblasting equipment, laying the foundation for future growth.
In 2022, after years of saving and reinvesting, we took our first major step forward by purchasing a custom-built mobile wet sandblasting trailer from Greener Blast Technologies and a 2017 RAM 2500 work truck. With that investment, our mobile sandblasting division was born, and my son Dylan joined me on the road.
In 2023, our shop—and much of our community—was devastated by flooding. Thanks to the support of family, friends, and loyal customers, we rebuilt stronger than ever.
In 2024, we expanded our fleet with a 2012 RAM 1500 work truck, allowing us to stay mobile, increase our visibility, and continue growing throughout the region.
The 2025 season marked one of the largest equipment expansions in company history. We added a 1998 Ford F-800 pull truck powered by a dependable Cummins 5.9L diesel engine and Allison automatic transmission, giving us increased towing capacity and greater flexibility for transporting heavy equipment and trailers. We also completed construction of our newest mobile dry sandblasting system, known internally as Blast Two, featuring a 375 CFM compressor, air drying system, aftercooler, and professional-grade blasting equipment designed to deliver cleaner, more efficient results in demanding field conditions.
Additional investments during 2025 included the purchase of a brand-new enclosed trailer, a dedicated winter sandblasting trailer for small off-season projects, and three Schmidt 3.5 cubic-foot blast pots to increase production capacity and improve job-site efficiency.
Our growth continued into 2026 with the addition of a dedicated 375 CFM backup compressor, ensuring greater reliability and minimizing downtime for our customers. We also added a 400 CFM air dryer system, further improving moisture control and abrasive performance in the field.
On the powder coating side, we upgraded to the Electron E-Coat +3 Master M Powder Coating System, bringing our powder coating operation to the next level. This advanced system provides improved powder transfer efficiency, more consistent film build, better coverage in hard-to-reach areas, reduced powder waste, and greater control when coating complex parts. The result is a higher-quality finish, increased efficiency, and more consistent results for our customers.
Today, our sandblasting fleet includes multiple mobile blasting systems, several compressors, professional drying equipment, multiple blast pots, dedicated support vehicles, and a growing powder coating operation. We have come a long way from that original $200 oven, and we continue to invest in the equipment, technology, and training needed to provide the highest-quality sandblasting and powder coating services possible.
As we continue to grow, one thing remains unchanged: our commitment to delivering professional results, exceptional customer service, and continually improving the equipment and processes that help us serve our customers better.
