The 2025 racing season kicked off with high energy at the Thunder Road International Speedbowl, affectionately known as “The Nation’s Site of Excitement.” This iconic ¼-mile high-banked asphalt oval, located in Barre, Vermont, has been a cornerstone of Northeastern short-track racing since it was established in 1960 by legendary broadcaster Ken Squier.

Known for hosting the famous Memorial Day Classic, Thunder Road is where racing legacies are built—and this year, Jamie Davis added his name to the headlines. Jamie came from an eighth-place start to take the win, surging through the field with skill and grit to claim victory in the season opener.

Green Mountain Mobile Sandblasting and Powder Coating LLC is proud to support Jamie Davis Racing as part of our continued investment in the Vermont motorsports community. Moments like these are why we stand behind racers who exemplify the same values we bring to our work—precision, hard work, and unmatched performance.

Captured in the back of Jamie’s race car, the season opener trophy sat beside our company logo—a perfect image of local pride and championship spirit. We’re excited to stand behind Jamie and his crew for what promises to be a thrilling season ahead.

Congratulations to Jamie Davis and team on an unforgettable opening win at Thunder Road!
